round the rooms...the dining room...

this is the room i probably photograph the most...

for occasions and get togethers and parties that i host...

it's a favorite place with lots of light...and my favorite fixture too...

vintage masterfully created chandelier where old meets new!!

and the palette from the garbage (thank you karen!!) rescued one day...

and my sweet loves art and a custom table i designed in my way...

and a pine hutch that has been with me for a long, long while...

and design, travel and nature books that really make me smile...

but mostly what i love about this colorfull place...

are the memories with friends and family made in this space!! 

round the rooms...the glass room...

this is one of my favorite rooms in my house...it is always so very bright!!

called the glass room by me simply because of the windows and all of the light!!

i love the color and the velvet and my favorite red clown shoes...

and the doll house and the crazy quilts and my lucite grape collection which really is old news!! :D

it's where the sweet loves often play and where lots of things are created...

where impromptu concerts and performances are held that are always top rated!! :D

and the french doors and the access...for me are are just the best...

watching the world go by with all the glass gives this room that extra zest!! :D

gathering, reading, writing, drawing...where family and friends can easily reside...

in an antique pine hutch that i have had for awhile that is especially dear...

and full of art and special things and some of my creations too...

my velvet pillows, a large white table and my sofa in velvet in blue!!

this room changes often because i love to...but today it looks like this...

living room loving and thankfull...a memory full retreat of bliss!!

the velvet pillows are mostly vintage finds...

and the rug a first purchase...i love this handmade kind!!

the picture rail moldings are such a joy for me...

and trading in and out art is as easy as can be...:D

welcome in...this is the entry of our home....

5 years later and i thought with round the rooms we would roam...

starting at the front door in a room that i love...

a special brass shamrock, a gift from my grandma, hangs prominently above!!

and the handpainted on stencil art sheets that are the first thing you see...

are something in our house that means alot to me!!

when we purchased the white house almost every room had paper...

and trying to remove the wall coverings proved to be a futile caper...:/

so after mudding and painting ALL the walls we had a blank slate...

and adding it back in in this way was something i had to negotiate...:/

so this one room...the only one covered in colorfull sheets...

is a nod to the history and is a gem that in my eyes can't be beat!!

so i have to admit i got a bit carried away with this project here...

busily cutting and creating without any pattern, thought or fear...

donning each pipe cleaner with paper and some tape...

was the perfect two day everyday kind of escape!!

collected by color and then grouped in bunches around...

these flowers at this time are a silver lining i have found!!

so easy to make...you chose your favorite colors and materials too...
