everyday eating...slow cooker beans...

rinse and sort the beans...i used pinto here but you can
substitute black beans, garbanzo, or whatever bean you like...

place in a slow cooker...add water to cover (about 6 cups), a halved onion,
3 garlic cloves, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and a touch of cumin...

stir, cover and cook on high until the beans are the desired consistency...

stir occasionally...

remove onion and garlic pieces...you can remove some of the
liquid at this time if you want to...mash if you want that texture...

enjoy!!  i love them plain, with cheese, with brown rice,
with an avocado, in a tortilla...the options are endless!!

making slow cooker beans on this rainy winter day...
and the taste so delicious like a big hug in a way!!
this simple 6 ingredient recipe is so versatile too...
we use the beans in many things...and they are so good for you!!
so easy to freeze and so much better than canned...
try this you will love it...you will be a huge fan!!
thank you darcey for sharing this yummy recipe with me!!
