white house...thrift store art love!!

one of my favorite thrift store finds

is original art...of any beautiful kind

i am continually amazed at the treasures out there

from oils to acrylic and things that are rare

so i stumbled upon these...i let out a little squeal!! :D

white house...gold flatware...

one of my white house goals has been

to find new flatware...where would i begin?

i decided with all the original details in gold

that finding something that color would not be too bold...

so research i have done reading reviews and such

and i discovered this set that is simple...not too much

and now it has arrived and oh is it nice

and with everyday colorfull it will surely add some spice!!

excited to have something new and something gold

excited that my art collection is continuing to grow

and some of my favorite art is from lynsey you know

and for christmas this year she painted this lovely one

and finding the perfect place for it has been much fun

i decided on the master bath where other favorites live

and in this spot i can celebrate all this has to give!!

everyday yes...picking a palette...

i have carried around pantone paint chips for over 2 years now

and the colors have informed the white house palette with pow

they are tattered and used but how wonderful it is

to carry the colors and have them available to quiz...

is that blue the correct blue door hue? and the red an orangey one?

is that green grass green? and the yellow the color of the sun?

is the white bright? and the black the blackest too?

with these assorted color swatches it is easy to do

with every designing project be it a wedding or a house section

the first thing i do is dream up the perfect colors...and begin the paint selection

so travel to the paint store and gather many chips

just trust your gut and get the ones that really hit...

that spot that makes you swoon...chose a few basics too

then mix and match...and develop a special palette just for you

this collection up above is an extended one for fun

for this i chose 3 shades in each white house color not just one

can you tell i am passionate about color and these perfect paint chips?

for my everyday life this is one of my most favorite tips!!

this is my inspiration for my garden of green

where symmetry and boxwoods and simplicity is seen

where the grand gray fence will still be the one

but also with all the green around i want to add some fun

with a touch of colorfull...maybe a yarn bomb or blue

black and white pots, native stone and raised beds too

i know you have seen some of this on the blog before

so i added in fresh and fun so it would not bore

the flower garden this year will be full and flowerful and great

with delphiniums and daisies and zinnias...can't wait!!
